Hi, I'm Rebecca. I'm 2025 years old and originally from Leicestershire (UK)., and I'm currentlynow studyinglive forin Warwickshire, an incredible twenty miles away from the town where I grew up and where my undergraduatefamily degreestill inlive. EnglishI Studieswas a student at the University of Nottingham from 2009 to 2014, and studied there both as an undergraduate and a postgraduate. I hold a BA in English and an MA in Medieval English, and am struggling to turn them into a successful career (or, failing that, any non-soul-crushing paying job would do). For five years I was an active member of my university's Science Fiction & Fantasy Society. and, more recently, its Science Fiction Reading Group, which pretty much sets the pattern for most of my down-time: I love collecting and reading books; (I'm into most genres but my favourites are SF&F, horror, mystery, and classics); and I like tales of superheroes, spooky-as-opposed-to-gory horror, and ambitious sci-fi, either on the big or small screen, but preferably both, one after the other. I am a pescetarian and I love travelling, both in the UK and abroad, and although frequently I find a place I like and keep returning to it, I try to work in something new every now and then as well. And I am a huge Sims fan, of course. ^_^

I've been playing Sims since the original game was released in the UK when I was 10 years old. I've played both The Sims and The Sims 2 with all their expansion packs/stuff packs. To my great embarrassment my younger cousin got The Sims 3 before I did and now I'm the one asking her for gaming advice. ;)  I also play The Sims 2: Castaway on Wii, although not so much any more because it still lives at my parents' house.

I'm a little way behind on my collection of The Sims 3 since my old laptop wasn't quite up to spec to run it, but I'm almost caught up now, and hope to do so by the time The Sims 4 is released next year. I also own all three of The Sims Stories games, both The Sims Medieval games (some of my favourites, for obvious reasons), and a few console spin-offs for PS2 and Wii. I own quite a few other games too but, let's be honest, with a Sims collection that huge I'm only very occasionally going to dip in and out of them. They include a bunch of Tomb Raider and Silent Hill games, some Marvel Avengers and DC Superheroes adaptations, and quite a bit of stuff centred around either Lego or Sherlock Holmes. The day they make that crossover I may well be in geeky heaven. :P
I chose my username because "Much Ado About Nothing" is my favourite Shakespeare play. Beatrice and Benedick are such an interesting couple, I've never really understood why the writers chose to make their namesakes siblings in The Sims 2... but maybe that's just me. :p

I'm very excited for the release of The Sims Medieval next year, as I am a huge geek for all things medieval - I hope to specialise in medieval English language and literature as a postgraduate after completing my degree, so combining that with my love of Sims seems perfect for me. :D

*Simlish - I was fluent in Simlish by the age of 11. Unsurprisingly I'm now studying linguistics.
*Timeline of The Sims series - Trying to establish the continuity and canon events of the series is fun. Tricky, but fun.
*Same-sex relationshipsrelationship - I like to have about 10%-20% of my Sims in same-sex relationships (mirroring the real-life statistics) and I did a lot of work on this page when it was new.
