;About me

I am LostInRiverview, also known as LiR, Lord Liron, WeivrevirNiTsol, and LiR|Laundry. Or if you prefer, you can refer to me as Patrick, except on March 17th. I'm a young adult living in the Midwestern United States. I have been a fan of The Sims series since The Sims came out in 2000. Prior to that, I played SimCity 2000 and SimCity 3000, and I still own and often play SimCity 4 and other Sim games on occasion. In addition to Sim games, I also enjoy classic 16-bit era Sonic the Hedgehog games, the first RollerCoaster Tycoon game, and Minecraft. When not playing video games, I work and see friends and do normal people stuff. I also watch far too much Netflix.

;My wiki experiences

I joined The Sims Wiki in August 2009, but did not become a regularly contributing member until 2010. During that year I became an administrator and, eventually, a bureaucrat. In September 2011 I retired from wiki-editing, but returned in early 2012 and resumed my administrative and (eventually) bureaucrat positions.

On the wiki you will often see me constantly bringing up new topics of discussion in the community discussions forum, or else making lots of edits to the project and policy pages. I tend to edit content articles randomly and don't really have any set projects usually. I am a frequent writer of The Sims Wiki News blogs, the Monthly Question blogs, and other various news posts, as well as monthly updates to featured article. I also help manage The Sims Wiki's Facebook and Twitter profiles (be sure to say hello!). All in all, I spend a great deal of my time hanging out on the wiki, keeping an eye on recent changes, and lurking in the IRC Channel.

;Personal statements

I realize that sometimes I let my own personality get the better of me. I like to believe that I can maintain a cooler head through all drama, and remain unbiased, but I also believe that to think of yourself as unbiased is an ignorant position and very often an incorrect one. I have a passion for this wiki and the community that helped build it, and sometimes I run away with that passion and act recklessly or impulsively or angrily. I am working to adjust that behavior, and part of that adjustment is this statement. Through this statement I intend to set a framework for my own positive development. If you personally feel that I am not living up to my own statement through my actions, I strongly encourage you to tell me honestly.

#I will not nominate users for administrative or bureaucratic positions. I feel that I have overused this procedure in the past, to the detriment of users who are qualified for those positions but afraid that a self-nomination is doomed to fail. I will not hold back my opinion on any nominations or applications that come forward, but I will no longer be putting names forward, regardless of how qualified a person is.
#I will actively avoid closing or archiving discussions that I have started and/or have a vested interest in, unless such an action is wholly uncontroversial or completely unavoidable.
#I generally believe that, as an administrator/bureaucrat, I should be held to certain standards. If multiple users believe that I am failing to do this, I will start a discussion on the community discussions forum asking whether I should remain as an administrator, or resign. So long as the discussion there is honest and open, I will respect the community's wishes and step down.

Ultimately, I want to serve the wiki well, and I want to encourage community growth and a positive atmosphere here. All actions that I take, I take with those goals in mind.

;Pages I've created

Since a certain other user decided to list out the pages he's created, I've decided to do so as well. Note that this list does not include: subpages for another main article (like patch pages), a page created by merging together two or more already-existing pages (like Compilations of The Sims 3), redirect pages, disambiguation pages, and pages for Sim traits.
