Line 10:
Dynamic advertising has been successfully implemented in other games for consoles in ''Guitar Hero World Tour'' on the Playstation 3<ref name="sony">[http://www.forbes.com/2008/06/04/sony-iga-ingame-tech-ebiz-cx_mji_0603sony.html Sony Set To Open Up To In-Game Advertisers] at 'Forbes'.</ref> and on the PC in ''Counterstrike: Source''<ref name="eurogamer">[http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/counter-strike-gets-in-game-ads Counter-Strike gets in-game ads] at 'EuroGamer'.</ref>. EA already developed a platform for such a similar system in collaboration with Microsoft<ref name="ars">[http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2007/07/ea-and-microsoft-launch-dynamic-in-game-advertising-system.ars EA and Microsoft launch dynamic in-game advertising system] at 'Arc Technica'.</ref> for dynamic ads which is the one we're seeing implemented now.

All this is old news, in fact the first mention of this is from 2008 when ''The Sims 3'' wasn't even released yet and with the recent change to the EULA<ref name="eula">End User License Agreement: [[File:Adobe icon pdf.png|20px]]http://www.ea.com/portal/pdf/legal/EULA-TheSims3-Retail-3-22-09.pdf</ref> along with the newest patch, there is very little the player can do to stop this. But how far are EA willing to take it? Movie theater posters for real world movies, McDonalds ads on billboards and Ibuprofen items your sim can eat for +10 mood may not sound that bad in the beginning, but where does it stop? Real life commercials on the Sims TV complete with sound? Radio jingles for actual products?
