Welcome to the June 2012 monthly events blog!

This month is much more lively than last month thanks to our Fanon Survey Week, everyone thank Nikel23 for the suggestion :), and as always feel free to give some suggestions on this blog and I'll consider them.

Here's the rundown for June:

• June 2nd - 3rd - IRC Weekend! Feel free to drop into the IRC channel and chat with your fellow Simmers!
• June 4th - Starmoonie's birthday! Wish her a happy birthday on her talk page!
• June 4th - 10th - Fanon Survey Week - This is where anyone who wishes to volunteer spends a week patrolling and cleaning up fanon articles to ensure our fanon namespace is of high quality!
• June 11th - LostInRiverview's birthday! Wish him a happy birthday on his talk page!
• June 13th - Mr. Hamming's birthday! Wish him a happy birthday on his talk page!
• June 15th - 16th - Chat Weekend! Feel free to drop into the on-wiki chatroom and chat with your fellow Simmers!
• June 23rd - 24th - IRC Weekend! Feel free to drop into the IRC channel and chat with your fellow Simmers!
• June 26th - Bleeh's birthday! Wish her a happy birthday on her talk page!

To sum things up, the Fanon Survey week should allow the community to work on fanon articles. The IRC Weekends have returned as they're basically tradition and I have incorporated a Chat Weekend to try and raise interest in the feature.
