On a personal level, I'm not a massive fan of the change mainly because I'm used to the current function (in addition to our CSS/JS setup) but it's probably something we can get used to. What do you think?

Wikia to update the Wiki navigation bar!

This is what the new navigation bar will look like.

Hey guys!

So this is to report yet another Wikia-forced update. Fortunately this isn't geared towards turning Wikia into a social network (thank god) but it's still something that could cause divided opinions amongst users.

It seems that Wikia are updating the navigation bar to allow for easier viewing and an "improved" editing experience.

The "Random page" and "Wiki Activity" buttons will be moved under the "On this Wiki" tab, meaning that we can still access those functions. You can see the new navigation bar in action at this test wiki.

On a personal level, I'm not a massive fan of the change mainly because I'm used to the current, and easy to use in my opinion, navigation function (in addition to potential issues with our CSS/JS setup) but it's probably something we can get used to. What do you think?
