==Tip on deleting pages==

If you're deleting a page with inappropriate content, make sure you remove the "content was: $1" bit. The "content was:" bit is automatically generated by the MediaWiki software (consisting of the first few characters in wiki markup of the page being deleted) and is automatically added to the deletion summary. Normally we don't need to worry about it - however, if the page contains inappropriate content, such as profanity, personal attacks, or private information, you don't want that to appear in the delete summary, as that is publicly visible in the logs (not to mention irremovable). You can just blank the delete summary and either use the ones in the drop-down menu, or enter one of your own.
