I am glad to see you here. However, I would like to point out that you can set your preferred editor in your Preferences -- hover your mouse over your username in the upper right-hand corner, select My Preferences, then click on Editing. Wikia's VisualEditor still seems to have a tendency to break pages with complex templates or tables. It's not as bad as it used to be, but it is still a "work in progress".
