::I assume you're using Audacity? There should be a small drop-down menu on the top-left of each track. Click on it and go to "Set Sample Format". Click on "16-bit PCM". You can also export Audacity projects as OGG files, without the hassle of going through a file converter (and they all claim to be the best... it's so annoying). Also, just wanted to add that we usually pick a 30 second sample from the track and use that.
