I understand that you are keen to edit and value your feelings to edit, but you need to remember that some of that information was particullary important to the article. :Pardon me for chipping in, but I too have noticed that you have removed crucial sections of certain articles. You say you've been 'slimming them down', yet the whole point of the articles is so that they are as detailed and as accurate as possible. I hope you're aware that an article that is too short is classed as a stub, and, from my point of view, you have been removing more information than you have added. However, you can add more information to these articles as you wish, without substituting/removing other sections.
