VPN's Garage was founded in the June 2009 by a 3D modeler named [[User:Vpn|VPN]]. The main goal of the community was to create not cars with real life brands, but cars with simlish brands, such as Smoogo, Yomoshoto, Landwhale, and the other ones of the game.


The site offered free downloadable cars, only requiring that users register prior to downloading. The site offers other miscellaneous downloads other than cars, such as stories that are set in their fictional world, called "Alterra", lots, wallpapers, recolors and simlish electronic objects.
The site is focused on the production of vintage simlish cars, and it is constantly updated.


As of July 2015, The Garage and all its content had been deleted and its domain put on sale.

This community lives thanks to the passion of its creators and the people who choose to become members of The Garage and give vintage simlish cars designed, engineered and built by Sims themselves to their Sims.
