Young adult is the default age in ''[[The Sims 3]]''. ''The Sims 3'' does not have college (although this may be added in a future expansion), so young adult Sims do not go to college. It is also the fifth lifestage in the Sims 3. Young adult Sims are probably 18-30 years old and they can get married, own any house they want (as long as they can afford it) and have children. Young adults have 5 traits and take 21 days{{Lifespan|N|Normal}} to progress to the next life stage: [[Adult#The Sims 3|Adult]].

Young adult females are more fertile than adult females. Thus, we can estimate that young adults are between 18 and 30 years old. Apart from this difference in fertility, gameplay stays the same through young adulthood and adulthood.
