The name " almanac" may be a reference to "Back to the Future" since in the Moviemovie features the 'Sports almanacAlmanac' that Marty McFLy bought was the a pivotal thingitem that triggered the alternate timeline in "[[wikipedia:Back to the Future II|Back to the Future 2"II]] when  it was stolen by Biff Tannen.
