Bake Sales are a new activity added in The Sims 3: Ambitions. It can be considered the successor of the lemonade stand from The Sims 2: Open for Business. Bake sales allow children to make a little extra money while building their cooking skills. To run a bake sale, children must own both the bake sale table and a toy oven to make the baked goods.

Pricing and Demand

The demand for specific baked goods changes everyday. Children (and only children) can check the demand by reading the newspaper. There are three different types of baked goods: chocolate, vanilla, and other. Prices for each type of baked good can be individually set.

Baked Goods

Most baked goods can now be made in bulk, however it will cost the child about 10 simoleons to do so (individually baking each good is free). Baked goods include the following.

Chocolate Goods

Chocolate muffin

Chocolate cookie

Chocolate brownie

Chocolate cupcake

Chocolate cake

Vanilla Goods

Sugar Cookie

Vanilla Cupcake

Vanilla Cake

Other Goods

Blueberry Muffin

Caramel Brownie

Pie

Notes

  • Create a Sim includes a variety of outfits for boys and girls that give them the appearance of being a young chef.
  • Children who spend a lot of time selling baked goods may be inspired to become a Five Star Chef.
  • Despite being made by a child with a toy oven, Perfect quality baked goods give the Amazing Meal moodlet and have a significantly longer expiration time than normal food.
