Bands will be a new feature in The Sims 3: Late Night expansion pack. Players can create bands[citation needed], invite/kick out members[citation needed], hold practice sessions[citation needed] and perform at concerts[citation needed]. New musical instruments and skills (bass skill, drum skill and piano skill) are added as well[citation needed]. This feature is greatly expanded from The Sims 2: University, which allows Sims to play instruments together, but didn't offer any band structure or any "gigs" to play at.

Gigs come as Opportunities and a band will need to check the newspaper or talk to people to check where the good places to play are[1].

During a performance, band members can attempt to "make a sweet move"[1]
