A bar is an object that allow Sims to dispense drinks. It can be placed on residential and community lots. In The Sims, a bar placed on a community lot will spawn a bartender. In The Sims 2, a bar placed on a community lot will be staffed by one of the neighborhood's NPC bartenders. If Open for Business is installed, a bar on an owned community lot can be staffed by an employee or by a member of the owner's household.
