Cameras are objects introduced by The Sims 3 World Adventures. Like the fishing rod, which is necessary for the fishing skill, or the computer for the writing skill, Sims can't practice the art of Photography without cameras.
There are different cameras, and some take a higher quality of photo. They are expensive objects, as the cheapest camera (the SnapTastic Flimsy Cam) which is adapted to newbies and beginners, costs 250§, and one of the more expansive models (the Hikon QX40di Gladiator) costs 3,250§. - It is reported that the best cameras can't be used by newbies. As with some books being too complicated to be read by Sims who begins in a skill, better cameras can only be used by Sims with a higher skill in Photography.
