Every sim has their own camera automatically. taking pictures is simillar like painting still lifes. the green box appears where you want your picture to take place. when its done it is saved in your story. you can order your photos online or off the telephone. also, your sim have new poses they can do. like sitting down or simply smiling. these cameras are great for vactions and the photos can be placed on the walls or on surfaces

There is also a reward object that is an old fashioned camera which is for the Art career.

Sims 3

Cameras are objects introduced by The Sims 3 World Adventures. Like the computer, which is necessary for the writing skill, Sims can't practice the art of Photography without cameras.

There are different cameras, and some take a higher quality photos.

  • The cheapest type (SnapTastic Filmsy-Cam) - §250
  • The middle-end type (ChannonTec Outlaw SE) - §850 (Only in Egypt)
  • The most expensive type (Hikon QX40di Gladiator) - §3,250 (Only in Egypt)

Some features about cameras:

  • There are filters that the player can change, by clicking on 'F'. For example, the sepia filter gives to the picture an agreeable atmosphere of nostalgia. The better skilled in the art of the Photo, the better are the photo quality and the amount of filters.
  • There are three sizes of photos: little, medium and big, like for the paintings and they can be portrait or landscape.
  • These features are only accessible for "ChannonTec Outlaw SE" and "Hikon QX40di Gladiator" cameras.

(Note: All cameras are accessible for both newbies and experts. However, the camera features listed above is only for experts. It means, using the expensive type cameras without enough experience in Photography will disable those features temporarily.)

The Hikon QX40di Gladiator is probably a reference to the camera company Nikon.
