His first name, Carlos, and his brother's name (Isabel's father) Santana, is a reference to [[wikipedia:Carlos Santana|Carlos Santana]], the famous Mexican guitarist and leader of the band Santana. Even though Carlos is at the top of the Athletic [[career]], he does not have the [[skill]]s required for the job. When the family is first played, his age bar will imply that he is 84 days old and that he has 26 days left to live. When it is 6:00 PM on the first day of playing his household, he will not get a day older. Carlos' SimDNA in SimPE confirms that his hair was red before it turned grey.
