CAS is located on the tollbar of blue buttons at the top of the neighborhood screen. When using the feature the sim's gender, age (adult or child), skin tone (out of three basic shades), hair style, clothing, and facial structure (out of preset choices) may be determined. The personality of the sim is determined by adding personality points to a set of characteristics (outgoing/shy, active/lazy, etc.) and a biography may be added by using a textbox at the bottom of the screen. The reamining thing to do is give your sim his/her name by typing it into the small box at the top of the screen.

In TS2, the CAS button is revealed by clicking the family bin at the bottom of the screen. As opposed to TS1, any age besides baby or Young Adult (must be made in the University CAS) may be created. Instead of having to choose from already finished faces attached to a corresponding hair, greater variety is possible with the new feature of being able to alter the facial structiure (such as widen nose, thin lips, elongate chin ect.) and choose any hairstyle to go with it. Different eye colors and an an additional skintone is available for your sims as well. If the sim you are creating is older than a child, their aspiration and turn-on/turn-offs (Nightlife only) may be determined. Personality is set in basically the same manner as TS1, but after several sims are created, the family tree must be organized. All toddlers, children, and teens must be related to at least one older member of the household.

Affectionately known as CAS, this is where Sims are made. And you thought it was just WooHoo, didn't you?

Sims 1

CAS is located on the toll bar of blue buttons at the top of the neighborhood screen. When using the feature the sim's gender, age (adult or child), skin tone (out of three basic shades), hair style, clothing, and facial structure (out of preset choices) may be determined. The Personality of the Sim is determined by adding personality points to a set of characteristics (outgoing/shy, active/lazy, etc.) and a biography may be added by using a text box at the bottom of the screen. The remaining thing to do is give your sim his/her name by typing it into the small box at the top of the screen.

Sims 2

In The Sims 2, the CAS button is revealed by clicking the family bin at the bottom of the screen. As opposed to The Sims, any age besides Baby or Young Adult (must be made in the University CAS) may be created. Instead of having to choose from already finished faces attached to a corresponding hair, greater variety is possible with the new feature of being able to alter the facial structure (such as widen nose, thin lips, elongate chin etc.) and choose any hairstyle to go with it. Different eye colors and an an additional skin tone is available for your Sims as well. If the Sim you are creating is older than a child, their Aspiration and Turn-ons/offs (Nightlife only) may be determined. Personality is set in basically the same manner as The Sims, but after several sims are created, the family tree must be organized. All Toddlers, Children, and Teens must be related to at least one Adult member of the household. You can't create a Child and Elder without an Adult in the family.
