Custom content:Build Mode

Build mode allows the player to literally build Sims houses or venues from scratch. Build mode typically includes things like doors, windows, walls, half-walls, floors, wall paint or coverings,  stairs, elevators, fences, gates, columns, roofs, pools, bushes, topiaries, trees, and fountains. 

Beginning with Sims 2, basements and foundations became available.
