Goodman family
Description
Crime doesn't pay...USUALLY. Such a shame that the Goodmans don't really have time to spend in that nice mansion : Major gets arrested horribly often, and Evi-Lyn goes to great lengths to get her "dear stupid husband" out of jail. Why on Earth did their daughter, Pandora, think kidnapping Taylor Gunner was a good idea ?

The Goodman family is a family that lives in Greenwood. It consists of Evi-Lyn Goodman, Major Goodman and their four children, Pandora, Belial, Herodias and Lucifer. The family also owns two cats, Jezebel and Nocturne. Pandora's friend, Taylor Gunner, ran away from home and lives with the family.

Both parents are vampire criminals who have encouraged their children to be evil and love the darkness. However, Lucifer, the youngest child, is an extremely nice child, which worries his family.

Major has a townie sister called Eris, who is also a vampire and who was turned by Evi-Lyn. Major's other sister, Morgan-Fay, is deceased and buried behind the family's mansion. Evi-Lyn's parents are deceased and do not have graves, while Major's parents are burried at Avalon's Rest alongside most ancestral Sims.

Onomatology[edit | edit source]

Goodman : Anglo-scottish surname, formed from "good" + "man", semantically constrasting with the family's villainy.

Savanovic : Normally spelled with an accent on the "c". Serbian surname of unclear etymology, which was that of Sava Savanović, a legendary vampire from Balkan folklore.

Wadim : Slavic first name. Alternative spelling of "Vadim", derived from either "волод" ("to rule") or "вадити" ("to blame").

Morana : The Slavic goddess of death, winter and nightmares.

Dragomir: Slavic given name, from the Slavic words drag (dear, precious) and mir (peace).

Major : English given name, not to be confused with the military rank of the same name. Likely derived from Latin "maior" ("greater").

Verrie : From English "very".

Morgan-Fay : From Morgan le Fay, the half-sister of King Arthur and a powerful enchantress.

Evi-Lyn : Contraction of the English word "evil" and the given name "Lynn", which is derived from a Welsh word meaning "lake".

Eris : The Greek goddess of strife and discord.

Pandora : Greek given name, derived from πᾶν ("all") and δῶρον ("gift"). The name of a mythological figure who is said to have released all the evils of humanity into the world.

Belial : Borrowed from Hebrew "בְּלִיַּעַל‎", which is of unclear etymology but commonly understood as meaning "worthless". The name of a powerful demon, later used to personify the Devil in Christian texts.

Herodias : The name of a character in the Bible, who is known for asking for John the Baptist's head.

Lucifer : From latin "lux" ("light") and "ferre" ("to carry"). The name of an angel who fell after he rebelled against God, and who was assimilated to Satan in Christian beliefs.
