Employees may be hired and work for Businesses.

Hiring Employees

Employees can be hired over the phone or by interacting with them directly. Hiring over the phone gives you a choice of six Sims to hire and displays their Skills, Talent Badges, and starting salary.

Managing Employees

Assigning Tasks

After you hire employees, you can call them in by using the open/closed sign. Once they arrive on the business lot, you must assign them a task.

Breaks and Sending Employees Home

Giving your Employees a break is great for when they get hungry or they have to go to the restroom. You can tell when they need a break when you see the little Green dot above they're heads turns red and if that happens they can quit or just not work until their mood goes back up after a nice break. If their mood is still red then the best thing to do is send them home for the day.

Raising Wages and Promoting Employees

Raising Wages - Changing your employees wages is easy and is important to keep your employees happy. Sims with different skills or talents demand a bigger salary and if they are too under paid they'll quit. If they are "fairly paid" they will stay longer.

Promoting (Community Business Only) - Promoting an Employee to Manager is great way to run a business from the safety and Comfort of your home. To Promote an Employee, Click on an a Employee with three or four talents and good skills and select management/promote to manager and once promoted the new manager becomes selectable and you can control him and even tell him to mind the store and you only need to check up on them over the phone or computer.

Firing and Laying Off Employees

Firing - Firing an employee is necessary when that employee is not doing his or her job or just not doing what you tell them.

Laying off Employees - Laying off Employees is the same as firing, but lets them down easy and not make them hate you or for good employees that you don't need anymore.
