To escape from her own issues, she guides new girl Elli around town and tells here the fascinating stories of Sunset Valley.

Which adventures will Elli defy? Will she survive the bullies of Lisa Bunch? Can she turn off her eyes from that one handsome boy? Has she discovered some sinister business going on? It is sure going to be an interesting year under the sunset for her.

Episode 1: Pilot

Monday, July 22nd

Hi, my name is Elli Blue. They say I’m a regular teenage girl with my regular teenage needs and my regular teenage interests. I like pop stars, bubble gums and I like romantic movies. My parents Doris and Leander moved into Sunset Valley because of a conflict with my uncle and my grandfather. Fled from my past, I landed in this strange, though interesting town.

When we were unpacking, someone called at the door. I looked out of the window of the door and I saw a girl, a bit older then me. She looked nice and I asked her if she wanted to come in.

“Hi”, I said.

“Hi”, she said back, “my name is River McIrish, I live her across the street. I saw that this house is finally inhabited and uhm… I just wanted to come out! It’s a beautiful summer day today!”

“Well, how nice of you”, I said, “shall we take a walk? I’m a bit tired of all that unpacking.”

“Allright, I’ll take you to the beach! It’s one of my favourite places around, and it’s a beautiful, sunny day which makes it perfect to hang out on the beach.”

“Ok.”

Then we left the house off to the beach. She was very nice to me, but… she seemed a little strange. I asked her a few questions:

“So, do you have any brothers or sisters?”

“Nope, I don’t even have a father. My mom’s a famous journalist, she comes on TV a lot, you should watch tonight, there has been an accident this morning at Maywood Glen and she was the reporter. My mom had a difficult youth and now her and my life are under control. Well, they were…”

“Why?”

“It must have been two years ago, my mother’s best friend Molly French was at the door. She stood there in terrible tears, carrying a baby. I called my mother. She asked her to come in. We both sat in the living room listening to her story: “He’s left”, she said in tears. My mother tried to console her and after five minutes she felt strong enough to tell: “We were so happy. We loved each other, we partied together, we drunk together, and then… I got pregnant. He relied me and he said he was fine. And I showed him our little Sandi, and he was gone!”. Tears streamed down her face. And now that slob lives with her annoying baby. She goes out every night and at 1 PM, she comes out of her bed to go to work. So actually we have to take care of Sandi.”

“Oh gosh, what terrible. I think I know why you wanted to spend your Sathurday somewhere else.”

“Well, I have a friend in town, Claire Ursine. She’s almost 30 years old, but we understand each other, her heart was also broken…”

“What do you mean also broken?”

“Well, Molly’s heart was broken and unfortunately I have to live under the same roof with that b****.”

“All right, all right. So Claire, what was her problem?”

“Well, she is attending a baby with Jared Frio, an insensible jerk. He heard she was pregnant and he knew they would have come serious, so he left.”

“What a pretty little town up here.”

“Well, there are very fortunate people here too. Why don’t you join us at the diner Wednesday? I’ll introduce you to some of the friends of our age.”

“Sounds like fun!”

So, I made my first move to be a social butterfly around town and that makes me quite proud at myself. We lied at the beach for a couple of hours and we chit-chatted for a little while. I told her about my life so far and she told me she’s graduating soon and she would like to be a famous artist later on. Everyone in the village has its own interesting story, and I think there are still a lot to discover.

I went back home and we had dinner in silence. The ethos has been like that for a few months and now I’m getting used to it. Our house is getting liveable again and tonight I first slept in my own bedroom. Full of curiosity for what the next day will bring and processing all the stories River told me, I went to bed.

Episode 2: Meet The Girls

Wednesday, July 24th

Today was a day I have been looking forward to for a while: meeting a few friends of my age of Sunset Valley. I met up with River across the street and we walked to the Deep Hogans Fried Diner. There were sitting three other girls at a table outside, one with blonde hair, one with orange hair and one with pigtails. I took my place and I ordered a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

“So, who do we have here?”, asked the orange haired one.

“Hi, I’m Elli, I live here since a week now. How are you?”

“My name is Candy, Candy Ashleydale. Do you like it here?”

“Well, it has been long days and I heard from River that not all of the stories from this neighbourhood are so favorable.”

“Yes, that might be true, but you have that in every town. I live a bit out of town. My parents aren’t big money makers so I babysit in my spare time to assure we can eat the whole week.”

“Oh my god, I didn’t know there was so much poverty over here.”

“Well, actually there isn’t much. VJ’s family is also very poor. His mother has left and now he kinda dislikes his father for what he has done to him and his brother. But VJ is not a great guy, I’ve heard he steals a lot and I also heard he isn’t very talented. He is also friends with Lisa Bunch, the biggest b**** of the school, I’m warning you!”

The blonde girl was being very quiet, I asked her a few questions.

“Hi, what’s your name?”

“Oh hello, my name is Holly Alto. You might have heard that name.”

“Well, it does sound familiar to me.”

“My parents own nearly every business in Sunset Valley, and when they don’t it is owned by the Landgraab family.”

“Wow, you must be very rich.”

“Yes, we’re quiet rich. But I’m cool with it. Next year, I’m going to college and I’m hoping to study politics so that I can finally lead the town in the good way, and not like my mother and father.”

“Our ambitious Holly”, snapped Candy.

The other girl with the pigtails also seemed nice, after Holly had told her story, she began:

“I’m Bebe, Bebe Hart. And please, do not judge me for my parents, they’re crazy.”

“Uhm, allright”, I said, “I don’t know anyone over here so you don't have to worry about that.”

“My dad works at the supermarket. He always helps the costumers with a big smile and a big joke. Nevertheless, everyone thinks he’s as insane as it could be. My mom has had some mental issues. Her clothes don’t match and she is wearing odd hairstyles.”

I had to stop myself before laughing with the strange hairstyle of Bebe itself, but I decided to stay nice.

“Next year I’m going to college with Holly and we will live at a dorm together. Her parents will pay the rent.”

“That’s awesome!”

The dinner was nearly ready. I didn’t liked the hamburgers very much, but at least I’ve met some friends today. I have actually just met some teens who are older than me. On the way back I asked River:

“Are there also people of my age around town?”

“Yes, but some of them, you better shouldn’t know. If you want, there is a big summer party at the local hangout next week. I’m sure there will be any people for you to meet.”

“Will you join me?”

“I don’t know, maybe I have to babysit on Sandi.”

“You just let me know.”

“Ok, goodbye Elli.”

At home we just were silent as hell, like always. So it is her in my little room with the little cupcake wallpaper.
