Athanasia was aware of Kallisto's interest in Kyriake: Athanasia was however not aware of the magnitude of Kallisto's interest.

Given the nature of the consignment store, Kyriake would return with a sum of about 750k§, which led Athanasia to take interest in Kyriake's activities, while using the money earned in investments hoping to outdo their neighbor and rivals, the Demirci. Seeing as Kyriake's independence has suddenly left them with even more money, Athanasia started to actively participate in nectar making, believing that to be Kyriake's source of revenue. Alas, Athanasia did not study nectar making, and it would be Kyriake who produced the best of the Kostopouloi nectar.
