Jade was born inat The the Queen Elizabeth Maternity Hospital, Waterford Valley, to Victoria and Robert Campbell. Two years before Jade's birth, Lauryn, Jade's elder sister, was born. Her parents endeavoured to give Jade and Lauryn a very pleasant childhood, despite coming from a lower-middle class background. The Campbell sisters were ambitious and articulate, but grounded and down-to-earth.
