Jane was born and raised in Moonlight Falls, in the [[Fanon:Hale Manor|Hale Manor]]. Once when turned into a young adult, long after her older brother, she moved out of the Hale Manor into a house of her own, where she still lives.

After her brother James died an untimely death, she took over the care of his two children, [[Fanon:Derek Hale|Derek Hale]], and [[Fanon:Edward Hale|Edward Hale]].
