Due to Marcus' work times, he was the main caregiver of Elias during his his time as a baby and a toddler, and taught him most of his skills. Because of this, Elias had a much closer bond to his father than to his mother.
While his wife became an even bigger celebrity, Marcus worked hard in his job and finally became a fully-fledged astronaut, fullfilling a resolution he had made on New Year's Eve. He also became father a second time when his daughter Lily was born.
But between his job and two children, he no longer had time to regularly produce music, which caused his label to drop him.
