Marcus Croft is the co-founder and patriarch of the Lincoln-Croft Family. 

Biography

Adulthood

Marcus Croft moved into the Daisy Hovel together with his roommate Alicia Lincoln as soon as the two of them became young adults. Living in a tiny house without any luxuries, he and Alicia dreamt of one day making it into the Grand Modern Villa across town. For this reason, Marcus took on the job of a medical intern, but would quit 3 days later as he was unhappy with his pay. He instead joined the Astronaut career. He also started to make music and release tracks and would even get a contract with Dinky Beats.

Marcus and Alicia grew closer as they worked together towards their goal and would eventually fall in love. During their first weekend off together, they went on a date and had their first kiss at the Magnolia Blossom Park. Their love was not even diminished when Alicia was nominated for a Starlight Accolade and became a minor celebrity, and Marcus would ask Alicia to be his girlfriend. They eventually got engaged and had a private wedding in the Myoshino Meadows. During their wedding night, Alicia became pregnant with their first child and eventually gave birth to their firstborn, a son who they named Elias.

Due to Marcus' work times, he was the main caregiver of Elias during his time as a baby and a toddler, and taught him most of his skills. Because of this, Elias had a much closer bond to his father than to his mother.

While his wife became an even bigger celebrity, Marcus worked hard in his job and finally became a fully-fledged astronaut, fullfilling a resolution he had made on New Year's Eve. He also became father a second time when his daughter Lily was born.

But between his job and two children, he no longer had time to regularly produce music, which caused his label to drop him.

His career was stagnating for a while which caused Marcus to be stressed as he put much work into his work performance and felt as though his work was not appreciated enough. However, the day of his Adult birthday, he was finally promoted to Planet Control in his job.

He also decided to produce more music again and sent copies of his music tracks to three different labels. The New Tastemakers were interested and he was able to sign a new contract to promote and release his music again.

He however lost the contract with the New Tastemasters soon after when he moved with his family into the Grand Modern Villa. 

While in the Grand Modern Villa, Marcus and Alicia decided to have another child, and soon, their daughter Lara was born - and followed shortly after by Marcus' surprise grandchild Caleb, the son of Elias' and his fiancée Morgan Fyres. Marcus had to say goodbye to his son and grandchild soon as they moved into the Cozy Family Home. 

Marcus career soon became to stagnate as he was more and more busy with his family and prioritised his marriage and children over his work. Nonetheless, he was unhappy with himself over his lack in promotions. Still, he was very proud of his successful wife and their love life had a renewel as Alicia's low work hours and Marcus' newfound focus on his homelife allowed them to deepen their relationship. 

Marcus still would mix tracks occasionally but he seemed to have lost his interest in his hobby somewhat - instead, he had loving and deep relationships to his grandchildren who would regularly visit the Grand Modern Villa to hang out with him, if he didn't go to visit them instead.

One day, while his grandson Caleb came to visit, Marcus was suddenly abducted by aliens, which deeply unsettled him. Fortunately, he at least did not come away with an alien baby from his experience however.

Elderhood

Marcus became an elder one day after his son Elias had become an adult. To celebrate his life, his family threw a rocking birthday party for him and he got to see his entire family all in one place, which made him very happy and led him to embrace this new, last segment of his life as he looks forward to retirement ... but not before earning his final promotion! 

He also unexpectacly became a parent again when Alicia gave birth to twins, conceived in the same night that their daughter Lily became pregnant as well. As he was doing well in his jobs and had more time, Marcus relished in his role as a late father and the twins would profit from his experience of raising three children. 

One day, Marcus would take all the men in the family on a weekend trip to Granite Falls to camp, fish and bond. He came back feeling revunenated and ready to earn his final promotion, which he did, finally reaching the top of his career.

Marcus eventually passed away, one day after his twins became teenagers. He died surrounded by his family and his wife, beloved and respected, after having lived a long and successful life. He was burried in the Fern Funeral Park in Newcrest after a moving funeral, mourned by his entire family.

Trivia

• Marcus started the game 10 out of 34 days into young adulthood, so a potion of youth was used to reset his age to the start of young adulthood.
• The reason that Marcus quit the Doctor career was because of a bug that caused the active careers to be unpayed.
• His aspiration of becoming Fabulously Wealthy was chosen to reflect his wish of moving into a big villa and living a comfortable life, complementing his storyline. 
• He became an Adult three days before his wife, Alicia, aged up.
