Marcus Jacob Pleasant is the eldest son of Daniel and Mary-Sue Pleasant. He is the older brother of Angela and Lilith.

Childhood

Marcus was born sometime in May 1989 in Pleasantview. He lived a quiet life, with frequent visits from all of his grandparents. Marcus wasn't as studious as his parents expected during the first seven years of school.

When his younger sisters were born, Marcus wanted to be a good role model. He got his act in gear and applied himself. Unfortunately, this behaviour did not rub off on Lilith. Marcus tended to play more with Angela because she was quite down-to-earth and much more mature than Lilith.

A few years after the two new arrivals, Daniel's parents died. This impacted Marcus quite badly and he started to slip up. This behaviour did rub off on Lilith, causing her to be a little more mischievous. This was the beginning of the end of Lilith's decent relationship with her parents as it dipped into a more "neutral" relationship. Lilith didn't hate her parents- she just preferred to stay out of her family's way, for the time being.

Teen life

Marcus had a typical teen's life- falling in love for the first time, then experiencing their first heartbreak. Marcus fell in love with and old friend of his: Vicky Sutherland. Unfortunately, Marcus' dedication to his school work is what ended the relationship. Since then, Marcus has avoided dating completely.

Move to the US

In 2009, Marcus moved to the United States of America to pursue his dream of becoming a surgeon. He completed his training and rose up the ranks rapidly, achieving his dream in record time.

Move back to Pleasantview

Marcus returned to Pleasantview to celebrate his sisters' eighteenth birthday. He realised how hard it was to keep in touch with his family, and moved back in 2014.

In the operating theater, newly promoted Nina Caliente was put on the same shift as Marcus and the two started getting along. Marcus found it surprisingly easy to keep his focus while she was working with him, considering he had developed a crush on her.

A about seven years later, Marcus did move back to the US, this time with Nina. It had been speculated the two got married, but it hasn't been officially announced.
