Hello, my name is Mina, Mina LaFayette. Mina, like Nina, but with a "M". I do sometime feel like a Jessie or a Lucy. Enough with my pointless rambling! Where was I, ugh! I'll just start over.
Hello, my name is Mina LaFayette. I am 14 years old. I live in Moonlight Falls. I have milky lilac hair and pale blue skin. My wings are a light yellow, Pappa used to call me bumble-bee when I was small. Oh sweet honey of hot tea! I almost for got to mention I'm a fairy! Ugh, stupid me.
I am a fairy. Of the Swanann clan. All fairies specialize in gardening, but we also are great chefs. I really have gotten myself into trouble! No one knows except my little sister, Maexa (pronounced Mae-za, I don't know what my parents were thinking), and my BFFL Olive. What have I done? Well, I have fallen in love with a human.
Oh, How That Boy Makes Me Feel![edit | edit source]
I didn't mean to break the rules! I couldn't help it, he's just so, ugh! Oh, how that boy makes me feel! He makes me feel like butterflies are having a tiki party in my belly and then a tsunami hits! You are probably confused by now, so I will start from the beginning.I warn you it's a long story.
It was just a regular day and I spotted him, the most majestic boy ever. Now, when I saw him I knew that I was breaking the rules. My clan isn't very strict, other than that we can't date humans or any member from the Logiccnia,Troutnams', or the Lyricy clans. They have been shuning us for 110 years. Just in case you were wondering, they specialize in Logic, Fishing, and Music. Anyways, I was walking Maexa to school, she is only 10, and we were talking about our honey bees. Well, she was talking and I was listening. Then, I spotted him, blah blah blah. You know the story. I spent the rest of the day thinking about him.

"Ok, spill child!", Olive says. It's now after school and we are at Olive's little cottage that she shares with her mom. Olive's father was a human, but no one needs to know that.
"It's kinda a long story."
"Then shorten it!"
"Fine! And no interrupting."
"Deal, just start talking!"
"It was a sunny morning and I was walking Maexa to school because Mom was busy with baby Cade. Maexa was talking about her honey bees and I saw a new kid.
"Was he hot?!"
"Shhhh!"
"Anyways, at first I thought he was a vampire cause he had really pale skin, but when I got closer I saw that the VanGoulds' were staring at him like he was fresh cobbler. So, I knew that he was human. During school he was in Gardening & Fishing with Sarah, Norman, Drew, and I. Also, with some Troutnams'."
"Ugh."
"Shhhhhh!"
"He apparently moved here from Sunset Valley because his father is a Witch and his mother is a scientist, so they thought it would be wonderful to move to a magical place. His name is..."
"Mina let's go! Cade is fussy and we have to pick up Maexalee from ballet", my mom yells. "Mina, what about the boy's name?" Olive asks. "Later", I reply. I kinda liked the suspense in her eyes.
I Thought Dinner Time Was Supposed to be a Good Time![edit | edit source]
Later that night, Maexa was helping me tend to our garden and Mom was making dinner when we got a call from Uncle Al saying that Pappa was trampled in a riot between our clan and the Lyricy. Maexa was listening when I answered the phone. She burst out into tears. I wanted to cry so badly, but I knew I had to be strong, for Mae and for mom.
