The Minolas are a large family living on the Monty side of town in my version of Veronaville. The main member of the family is Bianca Minola, nee Monty, the only daughter of the late Patrizio Monty, but as time goes on her three daughers may play a large role in shaping Veronaville. Their surname comes from The Taming of the Shrew, in which it is the maiden name of the character Bianca.

Origins and History[edit | edit source]

Not much is known about the Minolas prior to Lucentio and Bianca, although the appearances of Lucentio's parents, Baptista and Hortensia, suggest that they were rather formal in demeanor and middle- to upper-class. Lucentio moved to Veronaville relatively recently after meeting Bianca online and figuring that he might as well try out a new town.

Since then, Lucentio has become a semi-famous athlete in the Veronaville area, and Bianca has continued to work at the Monty family restaurant while raising their three daughters, Adriana, Gianna, and Ginevra.

Affairs[edit | edit source]

Lucentio Minola is currently carrying on two extramarital affairs, one with one of his coworkers, and the other with the family's maid. Adriana and Ginevra are both aware of this; however, Bianca and Gianna are not.

Monty Problems[edit | edit source]

Although the Minola daughters are not Montys by name, the Montys do consider them such by virtue of being Bianca's children. As the Monty family business is largely patriarchal, Bianca does not know of its bad side, and has never thought to shelter her daughers from the influence of her relatives. This influence has been particularly strong with Gianna, who has begun fighting with the Capp girls at her school.
