Monroe household
Description
Still grieving the loss of her recently-deceased husband, Derek, Marcella ended up taking in two runaway girls from her sons' high school. Rita, the less-favored twin daughter of her partner in law enforcement and best friend, Roxy Nelson, and Rain, the defiant and antisocial goth daughter of the hippie Leary family across the street. They live in the attic together, which is only made accesible through the secret room her sons helped her build for them. She risks her job and the house's only source of income everyday by continuing to lie about not knowing about them or their whereabouts, having promised to provide for the girls until they both graduated later that year, while Roxy continues to look into the case personally. Herger and Randy don't mind them, though, each taking up their own part-time job to support their mother. Besides, it was nice to have two cute girls in the house. Even if they weren't interested in you or your brother.
