The Munch family spans across two separate households. The first household consists of Wolfgang Munch, his wife Cassandra Munch, and their children Evelyn Goth, Rockwell Munch, Benjamin Goth, Frederick Munch, and Angela Munch. The family lives next door to Cassandra's mother, Bella Goth.

The second household consists of Lucas Munch, his girlfriend Billie Jang, and their three daughters Robin Munch, Zoe Munch, and Dawn Munch. Lucas's son from a previous relationship, Byron Munch, doesn't reside with the household though is still part of the Munch family.
