Romeo Monty is the younger son of [[Claudio Monty|Claudio]] and [[Olivia Monty]], and second grandson of [[Fanon: Patrizio Monty (SnarkbotAnya)|Patrizio Monty]]. He lives in Veronaville on the Monty ranch, with his grandmother [[Fanon: Isabella Monty (SnarkbotAnya)|Isabella]] and older brother [[Fanon: Mercutio Monty (SnarkbotAnya)|Mercutio]].

Despite being siblings, Romeo and Mercutio have always gotten along, and each considers the other his best friend. This bond proved invaluable when the two lost their parents at a young age, Claudio to a shooting by a rival gang, and Olivia to complications related to her pregnancy. With each other's help, the two were able to adjust somewhat to living with their grandparents. Recently, they have received another tough emotional blow from their grandfather's death of old age.

Romeo is dating [[Fanon: Juliette Capp (SnarkbotAnya)|Juliette Capp]], even though his grandparents forbade him from spending any time with members of the rival family. Although he is uncomfortable with commitment, he has let Juliette tell her friends that he's officially her boyfriend, and promised that she is his best girl. However, he is also trying to put the moves on [[Fanon: Rosaline Ulett|Rosaline Ulett]], whom he met at a party thrown by Juliette's brother [[Fanon: Tybalt Capp (SnarkbotAnya)|Tybalt]]. Rosaline has so far rejected every attempt by Romeo to flirt with her, but he remains hopeful.

With the death of Patrizio, Romeo is first in line to become head of the Monty family after his brother Mercutio, who will take control of the syndicate when he comes of age. He has always expected to go into the family business, since his father was in it, but never thought that he would be preparing for such a responsibility before he even finished high school.
