  • This episode is the first to contain Computer Generated Image. The CG-1 was the exterior of the TARDIS, and the explosion of the Cybermens ship.
  • The voices of the Cybermen were achieved by using Sound Clips from the Classic Series, episode such as "The Tomb of the Cybermen", "The Moonbase" and "The Wheel in Space" were used.

Continuity

  • Although wasn't originaly intended to be such, The sonic screwdriver makes its first appearance when used by the Doctor, while being possessed by the Cybermen. With the sound effect used during the New Series heard.
  • The Cybermen ship exterior seen in the ending, resembles closely to the Cybermen spaceship seen in "Revenge of the Cybermen".
  • The Cybermens energy lasers have changed from red lasers, to blue lightening like lasers. The lightening is reminist of the lasers the Cybermen use in "The Moonbase", "The Tomb of the Cybermen" and "The Wheel in Space".

Opening Sequence

This version of the Opening Sequence is completely different to the previous opening sequence seen from Part One to Three. This one has a new theme song, and now contains clips from "The Destruction of the TARDIS" and "The Labyrinth of Time".
