Chapter Two: The age land the devil
Next day the alarm goes of and the family is up on track again. Cornelia is making some breakfast for Gunther and Mortimer. When the clock turns eight, the school bus is here. It's picking Mortimer up and away to school it goes. It's not a far trip but you have time to reed on the bus. "Murder in Pleasantview" the book is called. The bus stopped at school and all the students went of. There she was. In a red dress a beautiful girl stood at the top of the stairs. She was the most beautiful Mortimer have ever seen. "You have to invite her to your birthday-party" Mort said to himself. He walked up the stairs and walked to her. "Hi!" Mortimer said. "Hi!" She replied. "I'm Mortimer, but you can call me Mort!" He said. "I'm Bella, Bella Bachelor!" She said. They shacked hands. "I will have a birthday party next week, and I wonder..." Mortimer started. "I would love to come!" She said and smiled. She had a big beautiful smile with glistening white teeth. The school clock sounded and they both walked in.
In a car nearby a father and his daughter is driving to school in his fancy car. "So that's why you don't are allowed to talk with the Goths!" Nick says to his daughter. Holly looks at her father. "I think it's stupid!" She said. "What? What is stupid?" Says her father that are a little upset about his daughters answer. "This whole war thing! Why can't you agree with something instead?" Says Holly that are a little tired of all her fathers wars! "I am only doing what's right for the people. Don't judge me! Judge them!" Says Nick that are trying to defend himself. They stops at the school and Holly runs in. "Stupid kid!" Nick mumble. The car derived thru Sunset Valley back to the Alto Mansion.
The school was over soon and Mort was on his way out of the school when a teen girl stopped him. She dragged him to some distant areas of the school. "I hope you are Mortimer Goth!" She said. "Yeah..?" Said Mortimer slowly, he was a bit scared. She breathed. "Yeah, otherwise this would have been very awkward!" She said. "Who are you?" Said little Mortimer and looked up on the teenage girl. "Holly, Holly Alto!". A clock started ticking inside of Mortimer's head. Alto where have he heard that name before? "I am Nick Alto's daughter. Your dad and my dad are fighting!" She said! "Yeah, I know!" Mort answered. "I don't think that is right. I am on your side!" She said. Mort didn't know exactly what this was all about but he approved what Holly said. "If we become friends.. Maybe our families do to!" She said. Mort thought, that was a very good idea! "Well I have to go now but, call me!" Holly gave him her number and ran away. I hope this isn't going to get in some sort of drama... To be continued...
