Fanon:The Goodies (15BowdenC)
and Herbert Goodie are two elder Sims introduced in The Sims 2: Apartment Life. They are (as of the start of the game) a married couple looking for some adventure in their later years. In my player stories, they live in Belladonna Cove.
As they have no children and are unemployed at the start of the game, I decided to spice up the lives of an otherwise happy and under-rated household from The Sims 2. Taking some inspiration from many a soap opera, I decided that Herbert had grown bored of the simple 'give-him-a-peck-and-head-to-bed' lifestyle Faith had been giving him for the past 30 years of their marriage. He had always wanted children, but his wish had never been granted by his rather uptight and at times demanding wife.
Instead, he decided to turn to a different woman to act as his 'fairy godmother' - "your wish is my command, here is an heir!". As soon as he laid eyes upon Samantha Cordial, he knew he was destined to be with her. His first advances appeared to go well; his overall charming personality was an instant with the twin. (By the way, I had no intention at the point of creating this story of using Samantha, so at the time I had no idea she was also very close to a romantic relationship with not one, but three other men).
This carried on until they were practically lovers, participating in much more, ahem, intimate activities than Herbert would have ever thought would occur with his wife. Meanwhile, Faith was doing some wooing of her own with Chase Woodrow...
By making each pair go out on dates frequently, I got both pairs to friendship and love levels much higher than Faith and Herbert had for each other.
Eventually, I decided it was time for the truth to come out. I made the pairs make out with each other at the same time, which seemed to do the trick. The Goodies decided to divorce, but ended on good terms because they both finally accepted the fact that they were simply used to each other at this point.
Herbert and Samantha settled down in the original house, while Faith and Chase moved to another part of Belladonna Cove. What will become of these two young... er, old couples in the near future? Will Herbert get his wish for an heir? And will Faith be able to go travelling with her love like she has always dreamed?
