"What?!?" chorused Lilith, Angela and Richie.
"It's true" whispered Dirk.
"We need to tell the Goths, I mean-" started Lilith
"Don't Lilith!" interrupted Dirk. "We can't let them know we also know. It was part of the deal- we tell anyone and we can't get Bella back" Lilith slowly nodded.
"How long will this take, Dirk?" Richie asked
"Well..." stuttered Dirk "PT9 says two years at the least..."
"Two years?!?" the three of them shouted. Richie started shaking his head, disbelieving what Dirk had just told him.
Dustin was in a great mood as he burst into his small house. "Yes!" he yelled "My sweetie's all mine!"
Brandi emerged from the bathroom, Tommy in her arms. "What's up, Dustin?"
"Oh Mum! You're not going to believe this- I asked Mona out and she said yes!" He started dancing around. He darted into his room and returned wearing a crisp white shirt. "Where are you going?" Brandi asked
"On a date" Dustin replied. He briskly left the house. One thought occured to Brandi- Skip would be proud of him.
Mona was nervous. Her first date with Dustin was sure to go well. She saw him come around the corner. She bounded up to him, giving him a tight embrace. The lovers looked into each other's eyes, both the same shade of dark blue, and kissed. Dustin knew things were going his way. Life was improving. It took a few years, but thing were certainly looking up. They walked, hand-in-hand, into the small cafe. It was going to be a good afternoon.
