'''Father Time''' is an [[NPC ]] featured in ''[[The Sims 2: Happy Holiday Stuff]]''. He looks aslike an old man whowith hasa long beard, and holds an hourglass. He will appear when a Sim throws a New Year's Bash. A New Year's Bash can be thrown by clicking the phone and choose ''Throw Party... New Year's Bash'' (Since ''The Sims 2: Happy Holiday Stuff'' was released earlier than ''[[The Sims 2: Apartment Life]]'', the party can't be thrown in an apartment lot). TheThis Partyparty is somewhat different from normala Housenormal [[Party,#The becauseSims the2|house party]], because it will always start at 8 P.M.pm. Beware,If ifa youNew throwYear's aBash partyis thrown before it gets dark, the [[Police|Police Officerpolice]] will shut it down your party at 11 P.M.pm. Therefore, youthis type of party must throwbe the partythrown between 7 P.Mpm. and 8 P.M.pm.

In a New Year's Bash, your Sims and the guests will autonomously make ruckus and noise. Sometimes, other Sims willmay react to itthis. At 11 P.M.pm, the Father Time will arrive. He will be standing on the sidewalk, so youa selectable Sim will need to call him over. The only interactioninteractions available for Father Time isare talk... and call over, which will be available no matter how close youra Sim is to him. Around midnight, (2412:00 P.M.pm or 24:00), he will start making a ruckus., Allwhich all the Sims willat jointhe withparty himwill join. After a while, he will turn into Toddler New Year. TheSims can interact with Toddler New Year canas doif interactionhe likewere Adultan Simsadult, even though he's a Toddlertoddler. He will fade away shortly and disappear just before yourthe party ends.

*Regardless of date, yourA Sim can throw a New Year's Bash on any day.

*Unlike most other unselectableunplayable NPCs, your SimSims will have memories of meeting Father Time, although youhis don'tface have relationshipwill withnot himappear in relationshipthe relationships panel. This is also like [[Santa Claus]] is also like this.

*If youra New Year's Bash is shut down atby police at 11 P.M.pm, when the Father Time also arrives, he will immediately leave.
