Fence

Fences in The Sims 2.

Fences, which are also used as railings in the game, can be found in build mode. Fences act much like walls, separating areas and preventing movement between areas. However, unlike walls, objects, doors and windows cannot be hung on them. In The Sims, fences did not have a separate category, but were grouped with the wall-building tool. In The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, passage through fences/railings is made possible by gates.
