Sometimes when the player have the challenge to clean up the house when they join the game, there's a chance that a firefighter will come to the house, and then he/she will ask if the sim wants him/her to help him/her clean the house. If yes, the firefighter will clean the house instead of the sim, but the sim still can clean it up along with the firefighter.
If Seasons expansion pack is installed frozen sims can be revived by firefighters if a fire starts on the lot and their responding to an alarm or if they are just called by another sim
