Flat Broke is Skip's father and grandfather to Beau Broke and Dustin Broke and the unborn baby boy of Brandi Broke. His name may refer to money, as the Broke's are not exceedingly rich. They are 'Broke' and his first name 'Flat' tells us that he might be really Broke.
