Food trucks are a feature included in The Sims 3: Late Night. Different food trucks will drive around town, set up their shop at a special parking space and sell 6 different meals. Food trucks will appear and disappear as the day goes by.[1] The only Sim that interacts with the truck is the consumer; there is no visible driver or sales person; the food truck itself can be considered an NPC. Eating a meal from the food truck will give the Sim one of two moodlets, one of which is positive and the other negative. Food trucks tend to drive to different locations frequently, so finding one or just getting to one before it leaves can be a challenge.

Meals available from food trucks[1]
  • Hot dog §8
  • Taco §10
  • Burrito §10
  • Clam Chowder §15
  • Hamburger §30
  • Plasmafruit Chowder §30[n 1]

With certain mods enabled, the food truck can be made available in every world. In the vanilla game, it is only available in Bridgeport by default.
