::Hi there! I made the first 2 family trees, but I eventually left this website because of a combination of getting bored with sims, my computer breaking, and being the only person who edited here. I just got Sims 3 and I am totally re-invigorated. Anyway, I propose adding new branches only if it is someone totally new to the family tree (i.e. added in a recent installment of the game), or if the photo is more recent. For example, if in Sims 4, Cassandra Goth is an Elder, we should update the photo. Since Sims 3 is in the past, however, we need not worry about the ladder.

I was just wondering, when The Sims 3 comes out, will we have to update all the family trees?
No, as long as there aren't any new additions we won't have to change the family tree images. If it is just a matter of the Sims looking differently, we can post individual portraits. --a_morris (talk) 21:38, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

But if the family trees in The Sims 3 show more ancestors, will we have to update it then?

Possibly. We can try adding branches in that case. --a_morris (talk) 14:11, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
