I'm starting this discussion as a result of this deletion nomination. The Sim nominated in this case was featured in a promotional video for Get to Work, and also appears on the Gallery as a Maxis creation. There are other Sims who fit this criteria, which raises an interesting question regarding Gallery content in general. Namely, is Gallery content considered "canon", and therefore fair game for inclusion on The Sims Wiki? Is there some other expectation that these Sims or other pieces of content should meet before they are included, e.g. the Sim/family/lot has to appear in some other Maxis-created media, such as a trailer, or do we allow creation of articles for any such content? -- LiR talk • blog • contribs 02:40, January 13, 2016 (UTC)

I would go with the rule that they have to have been in some other Maxis media (eg trailers or box art) to set a standard for notability. Vpetmad (talk) 21:29, January 13, 2016 (UTC)
