I've noticed something that freaks me out a little, and as I noticed another thing probably linked to it, I've decided to ask. Under 'debug' items, in Buy Mode in TS3, I saw a little marker orb from Showtime. When I clicked on it, the name and description both said something like 'performer_jig DO NOT TRANSLATE'. Then today I was trawling through Hidden traits and I noticed under Notes that there are some Showtime hidden traits called DNT, and I was wondering if those traits are linked to the marker I found and what they both do. Does anyone know? The Raven Nevermore 20:26, February 22, 2014 (UTC)Slade81

I believe they're simply some things that should work in the background. Regular users aren't supposed to see these objects / traits / things anyway because they're supposed to be hidden. You shouldn't tweak these objects unless you know what they really do. Because these things are technical and not commercialized, only the developers use and understand them, so they don't feel the need to complete the descriptions and left the note "DNT" to avoid additional effort to translate them.
Anyway, if you're talking about jig, a jig is an invisible "rug" object. They're generated whenever Sims socialize with themselves or another Sims, and deleted afterwards. Jigs are used to "adjust" Sims so they have appropriate position while socializing. For example, the taking photo together interaction from UL needs to position both Sims side-by-side so their animations work properly. This is also the reason why socializing takes forever, because Sims always need to adjust themselves to a correct position before socializing. It's kinda frustrating!
