My computer automaticly downloaded the new download manager, and I would think that would have nothing to do with gameplay. When I tried to send a Sim to France, the adventure board is in front of the base camp just sparkling away, but no Sim. There are wants and moodlets, but they are blank and don't seem attached to any sim. yet when i sent this sim to China, he arrived fine. I did start a new game ad tried France several times, but it was a no go. Any advice? It sometimes seems to me that EA has made a game that has expanded beyond their own understanding of programming.
