i have every single expansion pack and no stuff packs for the sims 3, but my game will not let me update to the latest update. it says something along the lines of "invalid file missing" or something. help pls xx Morgsalexandra (talk) 19:51, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
I could be wrong but it does indeed sound like there's a missing file. Given that I own the Steam version, I don't really get these issues but the only thing I can recommend is a reinstallation. LostLabyrinth • (c) • (b) 19:54, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
In that case, try using the superpatcher (1 GB+!) instead of incremental patch. You need to specify the game region if you use incremental patch, and even if you do it right, the patching progress is usually ruined like the "invalid file missing". NikelTalk–Vote! 06:13, January 29, 2013 (UTC)
