:You should only start TS1 Deluxe Edition with disc 1 of Deluxe if you do '''not''' have ''Unleashed'', ''Superstar'', or ''Makin' Magic''. If you have any of those expansions, you '''must''' use the first disc for the most recent one that is installed. (They are listed in release order.) Also, remember that ''Makin' Magic'', the last TS1 EP, predates Vista, so you would do well to set the Compatibility for sims.exe to Windows XP, SP2 . You should be able to do this if you right-click on sims.exe and select Properties. Also, if you do not log in to Windows as Administrator, you will need to select "Run as Administrator". Finally, IIRC, TS1 seems to work better if User Account Control is Off. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] ([[User_talk:Dharden|talk]]) 13:05, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

You should only start TS1 Deluxe Edition with disc 1 of Deluxe if you do not have Unleashed, Superstar, or Makin' Magic. If you have any of those expansions, you must use the first disc for the most recent one that is installed. (They are listed in release order.) Also, remember that Makin' Magic, the last TS1 EP, predates Vista, so you would do well to set the Compatibility for sims.exe to Windows XP, SP2 . You should be able to do this if you right-click on sims.exe and select Properties. Also, if you do not log in to Windows as Administrator, you will need to select "Run as Administrator". Finally, IIRC, TS1 seems to work better if User Account Control is Off. Dharden (talk) 13:05, October 30, 2013 (UTC)
