I seem to have located something while carusing around town in Free-Cam mode. Behold!

SimNation?
SimNation?

This image, found in the school, could be a representation of SimNation, revealing the whole thing to be just a backwards US. Is this true? Could SimNation just really be Setats Detinu? {{SUBST:Kalasig}} 05:41, February 11, 2011 (UTC)

I beg you, help us by uploading a higher quality version. I can hardly see anything. However, it really looks like US. I wonder...Andronikos Leventis Talk 14:10, February 11, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, it looks like a reversed map of the US, where Florida is on the opposite side of the country. Plus, seeing as this is from a rabbit hole, this may possibly be the highest quality avaliable just because the developers wouldn't bother putting much effort in a minor texture for the game. I think that above is the US's Map in The School, yes but the classroom next-door to it may have that map and It's transparent through the back If that makes any sense. DD D 09:48, October 28, 2012 (UTC)

My theory about this is that the Sims 3 was supposed to not have rabbitholes, but the programmers thought that an open world was exceptional enough. I believe they placed the map of a backwards USA just as part of a 'blue print' for the layout of the school while they were still programming Sunset Valley. They were possibly going to make a real map of SimNation, but just never got to it and left the template of the school. Of course, I have no citation and proof that this is true. Just a theory ^^

P.S I had noticed that you can not look in the schools anymore, so perhaps they removed it entirely in the latest update? AlphaDogMJP 04:48, October 29, 2012 (UTC)

I definitely think this map falls under the category of 'easter egg'; I wouldn't read too much into it. It was probably added to the school as a joke. -- LiR speak ~ read 07:26, October 29, 2012 (UTC)
Back then, I was a little naive to fall for this (as now I become more sarcastic). I just think EA did design the map of the US, but simply flip it for whatever purpose. I don't see it too relevant anymore, to state where SimNation could be situated in. :/ But still, it's a nice find imo. Nikel Talk Vote! 08:50, October 29, 2012 (UTC)
Haha, I definitely see what you mean. Perhaps I was being a bit too speculative? Like I said in my other post, it was only an uneducated guess. I had no proof whatsoever. ^^ AlphaDogMJP 23:49, October 29, 2012 (UTC)
I went ahead and added this to List of Easter eggs in The Sims. -- LiR speak ~ read 08:04, October 30, 2012 (UTC)
